Position: Hosting Team Member

Shift: Rotational & OnCall

Location: Chennai

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Hosting Team Member to support the deployment, hosting, and maintenance of the LIMS application (a Laboratory Information Management System). The role involves managing application environments, ensuring system availability, supporting validation activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide seamless application hosting services in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Application Hosting & Environment Support

Install, configure, and maintain LIMS application environments (Database, Application, Report, and Client tiers).

Perform environment refresh, patching, and upgrades as per project and business requirements.

Ensure environments comply with IT security, and audit requirements.

Monitoring & Incident Management

Monitor system performance, logs, and scheduled jobs to ensure high availability.

Troubleshoot and resolve application hosting issues in coordination with infrastructure, DBA, and application teams.

Handle incident, problem, and change management as per ITIL processes.

User & Access Management:

Manage user provisioning, roles, and access rights in compliance with security policies.

Configure LDAP/SFTP connections for secure authentication and data transfer.

Backup, Recovery & Compliance

Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery readiness for LIMS environments.

Support IQ/OQ validation documentation and execution during deployments or upgrades.

Provide support for internal/external audits by maintaining SOPs and compliance records.

Collaboration & Documentation

Work with cross-functional teams (DBA, Infrastructure, Validation, Security) to resolve hosting issues.

Document configurations, procedures, and environment details in knowledge repositories.

Provide shift handovers and on-call support for production-critical environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Any discipline.

Strong verbal and written communication in English

Hands-on experience with LIMS application hosting or any LIMS application hosting

Knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration and Oracle/SQL Server databases.

Experience with SFTP, LDAP, and application integrations.

Familiarity with Crystal Reports / Reporting tools.

Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem management).

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Willing to work in rotational shifts and provide on-call support.
